Kittie Wheelchair Bag
Sarah Crawford with Tuesday Rendevous, Mosaic, Leicester

Kittie Wheelchair Bag is Sarah Crawford’s response
to a workshop and series of discussions
with Tuesday Rendezvous Group,
a group for young disabled people.

Backpacks hung on the handles of wheelchairs
are difficult to remove and manoeuvre.
Small essential items such as medication
fall to the bottom and are difficult to find.
Style is often limited if a bag is practical.

Kittie keeps items such as medication,
sun creams and glasses for sensitive skin and eyes
as well as wallets, snacks and other everyday objects
within easy reach.

The positioning of Kittie on the wheelchair
and the transparent compartments inside Kittie
mean that whatever you carry around is visible.
It is practical but doesn’t look dull.

Kittie is a contemporary, girlie bag for essential personal kit.
